Lots of Iconic Landmarks Portrayed
The background of the game portrays several iconic landmarks from around the world, including the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty, the Great Wall of China and the Sphinx from Egypt. The graphics look ancient, and the symbols appear to have been pasted on old postage stamps. Symbols include the modes of transport used in the journey, which may not be everyday ways you travel around the world, like a Balloon, a Ship and a train, an Elephant and a Camel, but also includes the more modern airplane.
Wilds and Scatters can Activate Bonus Rounds
There are two Wilds in this game, the Traveller and the Around The World logo, and both symbols will replace any other symbol missing in a winning combination, apart from other Wilds and the Scatter, which is the Globe. The Globe will also activate one of the bonus rounds. The Traveller offers a multiplier of two, and if you find any two Travellers on an active pay line, any wins on that line will be doubled. Wins are displayed at the top of the reels, and the amount of each bet is shown at the bottom.
A Unique Reverse Play Feature
Like many Credit Card pokies, Around The World is a five reel game, with twenty pay lines, and is completely compatible for any computer system. The game also features a unique bonus round, called the Reverse Play feature. If you feel that luck has abandoned you, you can switch to this feature and actually play in reverse. If you land a non winning combination on your selected pay line, the result will be in reverse. Non winning combinations will win, and winning combinations will not.
